Silent Sister is seeking to commission artists for our upcoming show in Savannah, GA, for late summer 2026. We are interested in painting, photography, video, sculpture, and performance pieces that fit with the theme (read below). Please respond with work samples and why you are interested in the project.
In a world where the standard of what’s in vogue shifts constantly, one fact remains true: individuality reigns supreme. The exhibition embraces a conscious vulnerability, championing our inner loser as our greatest strength. We focus on the socially marginalized; those who misalign with the mainstream in their interests or their path. The conviction of their choices frequently supersedes their objective oddness, and the very thing that separates these supposed misfits from others may in fact bring them power, wealth, accolades, or simply, joy. This body of work digs into the dichotomous idea of loser chic in an effort to embrace the insecurity that comes with developing our personality and pursuing our unique passions.
